About
Having attained my masters in mental health counseling from Wright State University in 2021, I have been a full time counselor ever since. My experience includes treating both adolescents and adults of all ages. I have seen my clients gain relief from various mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, anger issues, suicidal ideation, grief, OCD, and trauma.
Couples counseling has always been a primary interest of mine. I use an attachment lens to understand the pain couples suffer when conflict, disconnection, or memories of betrayal become prevalent in their relationship. I working towards certification as an Emotionally Focused Therapist to continue refining my skillset for guiding couples towards healing.
My counseling approach is strongly informed by my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) as well as by the Carl Rogers’ Person Centered Therapy. I often utilize tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help client’s correct maladaptive thought and emotion patterns. I am a Catholic Christian and am willing to incorporate faith issues, whether Christian or non-Christian, into counseling upon client request.
In my free time, I attempt to practice the wellness I counsels. I care for my mental and physical health through quiet reading, social board games, educational podcasts, casual running, and the occasional mountain hiking trip.
